Rain has never looked so good.
Okay, so last week I found a really cool weather app on the App Store. It was simple, straight to the point and mostly brutal. If it was raining, it would tell you with profanity. If you wanted to find out more, it would tell you to look outside, because, lets face it, that’s the best way to find out.
Well, the Weather App given to us by Apple doesn’t tell you that honestly. Instead it tells us through beauty. The whole screen is consumed by what’s happening outside, in real time, if it’s snowing, you will see snow falling on your screen. Everything else is there, like the weekly forecast, your current location and the temperature outside.
It’s not what just meets the eye, if you tap the temperature some additional information appears in it’s place, humidity, chance of rain and wind speed. Knowing which way your fringe will blow is always a good idea. We’ve all been there.
The temperature is now displayed in the Notification Center for your convenience. Nothing else to talk about, the weather is always a good place to start.

THE WORLDS MOST DEVILISHLY ADDICTIVE DEFENCE GAME
I have been playing this game since it’s release at the beginning of June and since then it’s consumed nearly all of my free time, in fact, i think on some occasions I made time to play the game.
Gameplay – the game consists of multiple levels situated on a map. The goal is to protect your land from dragons, man-eating plants and ghastly denizens of the underworld. You have bases on each level to build 4 towers of your choice, either a mage, archer, soldiers or artillery. Each with their own unique upgrades and abilities, you tactically place them to prevent any enemies passing through your land. It may sound easy but from experience, it’s one hard son of a bitch when it gets going.
The first level starts off like most other first levels, the basics, you get to know how the game works, what you have to do and what not to do to succeed. Just like life, you learn as you go along. But this time with magic stuff and lots of bombs!
I bought the app for £2.99, the best £2.99 i have ever spent. Everything about the game is beautiful, the voiceovers of the characters gives it character and humour, the big bosses are really cool too, i found myself getting all excited when they’d show up to my surprise.
Our first game to receive 5 out of 5 taps! Well done IronHide!
Well, it’s a dull, rainy day here today, I have a few spare hours at my disposal, a few hours I thought I’d spend with you. At the beginning, I promised myself that I would fully commit myself to this blog, a way for me to showcase some creativity or skill whilst the holidays surrounded me and London was 300 miles away. It pains me to say that i failed myself, and you guys on that promise. A lot has happened since then, both personally and professionally and I feel right now at this moment, a new wave of determination to make this blog a real life thing for me has taken over, a want, a need, to make it maybe one day, a job.
Writing has always been an interest for me, I am passionate about technology and design and was luckily blessed with good taste for both, so the only natural thing for me to do is this. A blog. For you to take in my opinion, maybe argue with it, challenge it or even influence your own. Whatever it does, just reading it will make my day, the other 3 are all bonuses.
Whilst it may seem that my attention has been focused entirely on everything but this blog and the lack of posts are there to back that up yes, but, you have always been there in the back of my mind, time my friend, it’s what’s been against us. Over the last couple of weeks I have been downloading new apps, paid and free, and some old apps that have been updated with new features and even complete redesigns. With that in mind, I will be bringing to you my reviews and thoughts on all that Tap This App has to say about them. Here are just a few of the apps you will be reading about real soon.
Stay tuned, I pinky promise you that you have not been forgotten about. My time is now in your hands.
